Welcome to the BUBBLE ZONE! This month's featured member arena is the OLATHE GARDENS. The Olathe (pronounced oh-lay-tha) Gardens arena is owned and operated by Frank D. of Olathe, KS.  Frank and his playing partner, Dave, are the reigning Midwest Regional Bud Light BubbleBoys Champions.

Frank and Dave starting playing this particular unit in 1998 at a local tavern called Looney's.  The bar experienced an ownership change in 1999, and the game was moved.  They kept the game vendor's phone number and later offered to purchase the unit.  The vendor agreed to a $600 charge, which included home delivery.  The game has been well cared for ever since.

The Super Chexx game is a second generation unit with a red base.  The players are USA and Canada.   All gears and washers have been replaced. A new ice surface and both nets have been replaced as well.  The face-off favors the USA.  The Boo Button is very responsive and it is well used!

Frank holds many tournaments in his garage-turned-stadium.  One of the more popular formats is the Three Man Race to Seven.  Most games played are on-on-one, although occasional doubles action does break out!  The Olathe Gardens holds many events in addition to the bubble hockey action, including reunions, football parties, and casino nights.
